"How to make a Chimera"

1. Int. Jag's Secret Laboratory - Day

Jag our furry, feline, mad scientist is scribbling ideas on a chart. She plans to make her own living creation, witch she rightly dubs Chimera, whose body will be made up of several poor defenseless creatures - if you can call snakes, scorpions, eagles and tigers defenseless. Finding and capturing all these animals so they can be a part of her mad experiment seems rather tough for this stories carrier.
Jag rightly agrees, folds up the chimera chart, plops a pith (safari) helmet on her head and marches out the door, head up high.  With a slam of the door we quickly go to the...

2. Neighbors garden - Day

Jag, hidden inside a bush peers at her chart. The first animal on her list is a dog. She looks up form the cart and grins evilly at the neighbor’s furry mutt, Fido. Fido, oblivious to his forthcoming plight, scratches the fleas at his neck, while drooling heavily at the mouth. When Fido finishes his much needed scratch he notices a bone near his feet. Sadly to his demise this bone is tied to a string witch leads all the way back to Jag's hiding place. Once Fido has taken the bate and is gnawing happily on his new bone Jag reels the catch in while walking carefully back into her lab.
Once dog and all are in the door slams behind them and we go back inside.

Int. Jag’s Secret Laboratory - Day

Jag takes happy little Fido and drops him onto a table. Fido looks around stile quite happy, until Jag, with a dark evil grin upon her face, towers over him and straps him down. Fido whimpers as Jag secures him to the table and check marks the head and torso on her chimera list.

3. Kenya - Dark, Thick Jungle

Surrounded by thick tropical leaves, with a elephant gun close to her chest, Jag looks down at her chart. She needs to find a tiger. Putting the chart away, Jag looks about consciously. Her ears twitch when she hears the sound of a tigers roar. Her eyes pop open when she turns around and sees a humongous tiger mere inches before her. The tiger roars again and the mighty force is enough to blow Jag off screen, even with her meager attempts to hang on to the rocks and trees in frame.
Shortly after being blown away Jag tries again, but this time she uses a large wooden trap cage. She imagines how the cage will work:
Once the tiger walks in the trap the door will slam behind them and the tiger will be captured inside.
Jag begins to wait behind the cage and after 'hours' of waiting she falls asleep. She is awaked by a tiger, which’s standing right next to her, lets out a load roar and is terrified by its sharp teeth that are surrounding her. She makes a mad dash around the trap and runs inside. The trap door falls shut behind her.



Int. Trap Cage

Inside the cage it is pitch black. Only the whites of Jag's eyes can be seen. She looks around in the blackness, felling safe from the dangers outside. As she closes her eyes to think about what to do next another pair of eyes open. Jag looks up at the eyes, no doughtily belonging to a tiger, and they stare down at her. Jag lets out a scream as the tiger chops down on her.

Int. Jag's Secret Lab - Day

The door opens and Jag, whose feet are the only things visible outside the tiger’s great mouth shuffles in. The door slams behind them and Jag shuffles off screen.
We arrive back to a fainted Fido, who now has a tigers head strapped to his chest. Jag check marks her list and reads the next ingredients she needs.

4. Int. Jag's Laboratory - Day

Jag whimpers as she looks at her list. She needs to find snakes. She’s afraid of snakes and the narrator behinds to get mad with her. She shakes her head “NO!” and begins to cry. The narrator gets more-so angry and a large hand with a pencil appears above Jag's head. The hand draws in the needed two vipers and cobra and they fall onto Jag, who whimpers more loudly. The snakes wrap themselves around her as tears roll down her face. She worms her way across the screen whimpering all the way.
The chimera is beginning to take shape now that the Snake heads, for hands, and the cobra head, for the tail, are in place. We go on to the next creature on the list.

5. Int. Insectarium

Spinning around a room, filled with glass cases full of bugs, we find Jag looking trough a glass case with live Emperor Scorpions. She cringes as she lifts up the lid and reaches for a near by scorpion. The angry black scorpion stings her continuously as she stuffs him into a bag and runs away from the confused owners, who scratch their heads, unsure of how to react by this strange and bizarre situation.
Back in the lab we see the scorpion’s tail as been added to the cobra head on the chimera

6.  Somewhere in a Thick Evergreen Forest - High-noon

Jag's next victim on her list is an eagle. Being how hard it is to make an eagle cooperate she decides to try and capture it while it's stile young
Panning across the tree tops we hear the wonderful calls of birds in the air and the sound of wind whistling through the leaves. As the camera pans farther into frame we hear the angry calls of an upset mother eagle. Jag flails her hands wildly trying to protect herself from the screeching and snapping eagle. Whiten one of Jag's hands is one of the mothers baby chicks. Jag begins to lose her grip onto the bird’s nest she's climbed onto and falls out of the tree taking the scared chick with her.



As we move on to the next scene, an image of Chimera appears with wings blinking into existence. Now only one more animal is needed.

7. Int. Jag’s Secret Laboratory - Day

Jag needs to find a raptor, but they went extinct millions of years ago. Where would she find one? Jag thinks about this and then an idea pops inside her head. She runs to her closet and swings open the door, in witch a barrage of junk and old experiments fall on top of her. She shakes her head out of the junk pile and begins looking for a very special old experiment.
Moments latter we find her next to an old clunky looking time machine. She climbs in and flips a bunch of switches. The old machine chugs to life and with the flip of a large lever Jag, machine and all, is zipped back into the past.

14 Million Years Ago

The scene is field with giant bugs, tar pits, funny looking palm trees and a red sky with asteroids blasting trough it. Jag scurries about trying not to get killed by giant flesh eating lizards or stomped on by great plant eaters. As she takes shelter within some plant life she spots her pray, a large red striped raptor, mindlessly walking about sniffing the air. Jag is about to sneak attack the raptor when a particular plant life she's next too clamps onto her tail. Her yelp alerts the raptor who then chases her.
After being sliced into ribbons by the raptors claws Jag manages to trip the raptor up on a vine and then ties him up in it. The raptor is dragged back to the time machine and they all go back to current day.

8. Int. Jags Secret Laboratory - stormy night

With the raptors feet finally added, the chimera is at last completed. Jag stands proudly over her new creation and prepares for the next and finally step, bringing her beautiful creation to life. Jag pulls a lever laughing manically. After several seconds of maniacal laughing, Jag stops and realizes nothing happened. She looks around to see what isn't in place. After going from the levers, the table with the strapped down chimera Jag notices the unplugged power cord. Grumbling she jams the cord in, getting a shock since she forgot to turn the lever off.  The electrocution finally stops and Jag gets up smoking and fur sticking off end. She looks over at the chimera who begins to rise up like Frankenstein's monster. Jag celebrates and dances around not paying attention to her new creation who's growling high above her. Jag stops and whimpers as the screen turns to black and the sounds of angry animals attacking begins.
We can only hope Jag as learned her lesson and won’t try this experiment ever again.
